According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Sergeant Major Dylan Bryan, as cited by the Miami Herald, <strong>agents<\/strong> from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) were involved in an &#8220;encounter&#8221; in &#8220;the parking lot of a local gas station and convenience store.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After that, four people fled and <strong>one of them was struck by a tractor-trailer<\/strong> after running across State Highway 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We recommend reading:<a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/internacionales\/agente-ice-mata-migrante-mexicano\/\">ICE agent shoots and kills Mexican migrant during operation in Texas<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the moment, the authorities have not disclosed the immigrant&#8217;s identity, nationality, or immigration status; nor have they disclosed the reason for the immigration agents&#8217; actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is the third person to die in an incident involving ICE in one week<\/strong>.
