Pepe Legr\u00e1 is a legend,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-el-pequeno-cassius-clay\">\u2018Little Cassius Clay\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicknamed \u2018the little Cassius Clay\u2019, recalls Berdonce, Legr\u00e1 leaves a \u201cvery important and great\u201d legacy for Spanish boxing due to his way of conceiving boxing and his way of behaving: \u201cHe had a very particular style of boxing, he was very charismatic,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Legr\u00e1, who spent his final years in a nursing home and suffered from &#8220;cognitive impairment,&#8221; was a &#8220;very happy man who always lived with a smile.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;He always had a very good character and, until the very last moment, he always wanted to dedicate that eternal smile to us,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sports desk (EFE).- The legendary Spanish boxer of Cuban origin Jos\u00e9 Legr\u00e1 passed away early this morning in Madrid at 90 years of age, as confirmed to EFE by sources from the Spanish Royal Boxing Federation (RFEB).
