Santo Domingo Este.<\/strong> Residents of the Mendoza sector publicly denounced an alleged<\/a> case of sexual abuse against a 13-year-old adolescent, identified as Anyelina Pierre<\/strong>, and requested the immediate intervention of the authorities to guarantee her protection and the progress of the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to community member Gennady Tom\u00e1s Morillo, the minor allegedly revealed recently that she had been a victim of sexual abuse by her stepfather since she was approximately nine years old. As he explained, the teenager decided to tell what happened after an older brother confronted her due to suspicions he had held for some time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morillo stated that, after the complaint became known, family members tried to alert the authorities through the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Response System. However, he claimed that the alleged aggressor managed to escape before the officers arrived after being warned by a neighbor, so he is currently believed to be a fugitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complainant indicated that a formal complaint was filed with the competent authorities last Monday and that the adolescent underwent a forensic medical evaluation. According to their version, the examination reportedly confirmed signs consistent with a long-standing sexual assault, information that must be officially established by the investigation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he reported that the minor’s mother, identified as Jocelyn Joseph<\/strong>, was allegedly reluctant to report the case at first and subsequently threatened him to stop intervening. He also claimed that the woman has expressed her intention to move away with the teenager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faced with this situation, the residents called on the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI), the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and other competent authorities to take the necessary protection measures for the minor, investigate the facts, and determine the corresponding responsibilities in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The community members also requested the support of the media to give visibility to the case and contribute to the adolescent receiving the protection and specialized care she requires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
