The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the euro for this Thursday, July 16, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In financial entities, the euro closed with a purchase rate of RD$65.73 and a selling rate of RD$69.63.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Compared to the previous day, the currency experienced a slight appreciation in the purchase rate (-0.01%), but depreciated by 0.33% in the selling rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Remittance and Exchange agents, the rates were RD$66.81 for purchase and RD$68.71 for sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both rates reflected a daily depreciation of 0.31% and 0.72%, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When analyzing the euro’s performance over longer timeframes, the data reveals a significant loss of value of the European currency against the Dominican peso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most drastic drop is observed when comparing it with the close of the previous year. In financial institutions, the euro has lost 10.26% of its purchase value (compared to 72.4848 at the close of 2025) and 10.28% in sales<\/p>\n\n\n\n
