Leaders Mar\u00eda Corina Machado<\/strong> and Edmundo Gonz\u00e1lez Urrutia<\/strong> held<\/a> a meeting this Wednesday with Venezuela’s main opposition coalition, the Unitary Platform<\/strong> (PUD), to analyze the path of dialogue agreed upon by Parliament and a group of opposition members who were part of the 2015 Legislature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>A source close to the PUD, who requested anonymity, confirmed to the news agency EFE<\/em> that the meeting took place, although they did not provide further details on the topics discussed or specify whether any agreement was reached regarding the new process that will officially begin on August 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of the time of publication, neither Machado<\/strong>, nor Gonz\u00e1lez Urrutia<\/strong>, nor the PUD<\/strong> have released information regarding this meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This announcement was made after the Venezuelan Parliament<\/strong>, under Chavista control, and a group of opposition members from the 2015 Legislature<\/strong> announced the start of a work plan from August 1st<\/strong>, aimed at promoting democracy in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
