The journalist and professor Josu\u00e9 Mart\u00ednez Contreras<\/strong>, 39 years old, was murdered<\/strong> this Thursday in the community of San Lucas Atoyatenco, San Mart\u00edn Texmelucan, in Puebla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the morning, emergency services received an anonymous distress call on Leona Vicario Street in the aforementioned town, reporting gunfire<\/strong> on the public thoroughfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this, police elements as well as emergency services arrived; however, Civil Protection paramedics determined that it was a male who already lacked vital signs, after suffering gunshot wounds to the abdomen, with evidence found that the attackers fired their weapons at least six times before fleeing on a motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim was identified as Josu\u00e9 Mart\u00ednez Contreras, who practiced digital journalism through Facebook pages: \u201cNoticias San Mart\u00edn Texmelucan\u201d and the profile \u201cJosu\u00e9 Mac – El Jaguar\u201d, from where he covered regional events, an activity he alternated with his profession as a teacher and his recent law degree<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The State Attorney General’s Office carried out the removal of the body and initiated the corresponding investigations, for which testimonies were taken from the settlers, who claimed that the individual had received threats from the auxiliary mayor, Eder Montalvo, since the beginning of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
