Furthermore, they claim that when the pipes have no water, they allegedly leave the hydrants open, causing thousands of gallons of drinking water to be lost in the streets when service is restored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents describe the situation as unacceptable, since, while families in sectors such as La Manisera and other communities in Las Galeras must wait weeks to receive service, water ends up being wasted due to a lack of control and supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faced with this reality, the community demands an immediate intervention from INAPA to investigate the complaints, control the use of hydrants, and identify and sanction those responsible, if the reported irregularities are proven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is not possible for families to be without water for weeks, while such a vital resource is wasted with impunity in the streets,\u201d express affected community members.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Las Galeras, Saman\u00e1.
