At the ceremony, the outgoing dean, Dr. Gerardo Roa Ogando, carried out the formal transfer of command, giving way to a new stage in the leadership of that academic unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new dean stated that the challenges facing the faculty require the joint effort of all university sectors, through collaborative work, consensus, and the active participation of faculty, students, and administrative staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe great challenges we have ahead can only be achieved if we walk together and in unity,\u201d Ure\u00f1a expressed during his speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/jorge-asjana-asume-rectoria\/\">Jorge Asjana assumes the Rectory of the UASD with a promise to modernize the institution<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, he highlighted the role of the Faculty of Humanities within the UASD, which he defined as the \u201chumanistic heart\u201d of the institution, and assured that his administration will be focused on strengthening the academic quality, institutionalism, and social commitment of that university department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ure\u00f1a urged the university community to integrate into a participatory management based on the principles of democracy, service, and institutional responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLet us work together for a stronger, more inclusive Faculty of Humanities committed to Dominican society,\u201d concluded the new dean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.
