{"id":516006,"date":"2026-07-17T17:29:35","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T21:29:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/raquel-pena-returns-to-the-country-after-concluding-international-agenda\/"},"modified":"2026-07-17T17:29:35","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T21:29:35","slug":"raquel-pena-returns-to-the-country-after-concluding-international-agenda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/raquel-pena-returns-to-the-country-after-concluding-international-agenda\/","title":{"rendered":"Raquel Pe\u00f1a returns to the country after concluding international agenda"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong>&#8211; The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Pe\u00f1a, returned to the country this Friday to continue her national agenda, after concluding an official mission that began on Tuesday in the United States and continued in Spain on Wednesday and Thursday, focused on strengthening cooperation and expanding the Dominican Republic&#8217;s economic relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vice President arrived at the Dr. Jos\u00e9 Francisco Pe\u00f1a G\u00f3mez International Airport around 3:00 in the afternoon, where she was received by the general manager of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), <strong>Cyril Girot<\/strong>, and the general director of the Specialized Corps in Airport Security and Civil Aviation (CESAC), Brigadier General Pilot <strong>Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo<\/strong>, FARD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Washington D.C., Pe\u00f1a and the Minister of Public Health, <strong>V\u00edctor Atallah<\/strong>, held a <strong>meeting<\/strong> with the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, <strong>Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/strong>, to follow up on the <strong>memorandum of understanding<\/strong> signed between both nations regarding <strong>health<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the meeting, coordinated by the United States Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, <strong>Leah Campos<\/strong>, <strong>cooperation opportunities<\/strong> were addressed to continue strengthening the <strong>health systems of both countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subsequently, the vice president traveled to Madrid, where she fulfilled an <strong>agenda of meetings and institutional encounters<\/strong> aimed at strengthening economic ties between the Dominican Republic and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his stay in the Spanish capital, he participated in the <strong>First Libertas Forum<\/strong>, where he highlighted the signs of <strong>strength of the Dominican economy<\/strong> and called for deepening <strong>cooperation between Europe and Ibero-America.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, he held a meeting with the Director of Relations with Ibero-America of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), <strong>Narciso Casado<\/strong>, during which he confirmed the participation of the Dominican Republic in the <strong>XXX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government<\/strong>, which will be held in <strong>November<\/strong> in Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that meeting, conversations also advanced to explore the <strong>pilot application in the country of the 4T Model<\/strong>, an initiative aimed at strengthening the <strong>competitiveness of Dominican micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the mission, Pe\u00f1a also made an <strong>institutional visit to the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE)<\/strong>, where she was received by <strong>Juan Luis Cebri\u00e1n<\/strong>, a full member of the institution, founder and first director of the <strong>newspaper El Pa\u00eds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the scheduled agenda in both capitals was concluded, the vice president returned to the Dominican Republic to <strong>continue attending to the responsibilities inherent to her role.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mission is part of President Luis Abinader&#8217;s government strategy to strengthen <strong>cooperation with strategic partners<\/strong> and generate <strong>new opportunities<\/strong> for the country&#8217;s <strong>economic development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.&#8211; The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Pe\u00f1a, returned to the country this Friday to continue her national agenda, after concluding an official mission that began on Tuesday in the United States and continued in Spain on Wednesday and Thursday, focused on strengthening cooperation and expanding the Dominican Republic&#8217;s economic relations.
