Santo Domingo.<\/strong>\u2013 With a runway that brought together prominent designers, brands, models, sponsors, special guests, and industry figures, Ocaso Fashion Show<\/strong><\/a> successfully celebrated its highly anticipated fifth edition, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the platform founded by Dominican creative director and producer Lowensky Natera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held at the Mauad Hotel Boutique, under the “Just Add Water” concept, the event presented a proposal inspired by the tropical and contemporary lifestyle, featuring chic resort<\/em> collections, beachwear, swimwear, and sportswear. The brands Shanna Wellness, Aqualuxe, and Sophistigirl, along with Dominican designers Noel Newman and Joel Reyes, showcased their latest creations, turning the runway into a reflection of the creativity, innovation, and diversity of Dominican fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening was hosted by communicator and presenter Nashal\u00ed Enchautegui, who brought dynamism and elegance to the event, guiding the audience through an experience that combined fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the opening, Lowensky Natera expressed the satisfaction that the return of the platform represents after several years of pause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hadn’t returned since the pandemic. Since the brand was turning ten years old, we decided to resume this project\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The founder recalled that the first four editions were held between 2016 and 2019<\/strong>, until the pandemic forced the event to be temporarily suspended. This fifth edition marks the beginning of a new stage for the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he announced that the project contemplates a vision of international growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis new stage not only includes performances in the Dominican Republic, but also the expansion of the event into Puerto Rico and other international markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Natera also expressed gratitude for the support received over these ten years from designers, sponsors, producers, collaborators, and friends in the industry, as well as the presence of special guests from Puerto Rico, who traveled specifically to attend this edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his speech, he recalled the beginnings of the project and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have always believed that Dominican talent deserves stages where it can be projected. Ocaso was born with that vision ten years ago and today we return stronger, with new goals and with the commitment to continue creating opportunities for our industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

One of the most emotional moments of the night was the presentation of a special recognition to fashion presenter and producer Alex Mac\u00edas<\/strong>, for his more than twenty years of career and his valuable contributions to the development of Dominican fashion. The tribute was received with applause by designers, models, entrepreneurs, and personalities from the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience also featured the participation of Colombian singer-songwriter Juan Botero<\/strong>, who gave a live performance that added a touch of elegance and entertainment to the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
