Santo Domingo<\/strong>.- Communicator Pedro Manuel Casals harshly criticized the meeting held by the Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, with the Spanish Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and denounced that the Dominican authorities refuse to provide key information regarding the ties of the former Prime Minister of Spain, Jos\u00e9 Luis Rodr\u00edguez Zapatero, with the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I would not want to think that the meeting that both ministers dealt with was to protect Bego\u00f1a, to protect Jos\u00e9 Bono, to protect V\u00edctor de Aldama, to protect Hidalgo, to protect the entire framework and the local partners here,” expressed Casals.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

During his participation in the program \u201cEsto No Es Radio\u201d, Casals displayed on screen a press publication titled: \u201cDominican Republic refuses to provide information on Rodr\u00edguez Zapatero’s ties to the country<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy do Luis Abinader and the Dominican authorities refuse to provide information on the biggest corruption case in Spain? Why?\u201d, Casals questioned live. He added that the request for information regarding bank accounts and operations of the case has already been blocked by local authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The communicator linked the refusal to provide the data to an alleged intention to \u201cprotect\u201d political figures and local partners involved in the scheme. He pointed directly to Bego\u00f1a G\u00f3mez, Jos\u00e9 Bono, V\u00edctor de Aldama, and Rodr\u00edguez Zapatero himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casals also referred to the statements made by Spanish businessman V\u00edctor de Aldama, who on Iker Jim\u00e9nez’s program Horizonte claimed to be collaborating with the justice system and paid a 3.7 million euro fine to avoid prison. \u201cThe mask is off<\/strong>,\u201d said Casals, quoting Aldama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program also showed a social media story where V\u00edctor de Aldama himself appears next to Casals, whom he describes as \u201ca brother in values, with codes, with loyalty and truth<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“And no one can silence that one,” he said categorically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The communicator insisted that the Attorney General’s Office must provide public explanations as to why the Dominican Republic is not cooperating with Spanish justice in a case involving high-ranking leaders of the PSOE<\/a> and businessmen with operations in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
