Tehran.- <\/strong>Iran<\/a> claimed this Wednesday to have attacked two military bases used by the United States in Jordan, where it claimed to have destroyed eight MQ-9 drones and caused deaths and injuries among U.S. military personnel, while Iranian media reported explosions in the south of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The missile and drone attack on the King Faisal and Prince Hassan bases hit a hangar for preparing F-15 fighters and another intended for drone conditioning, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated in a communique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Tehran, eight MQ-9 drones that were still packed before entering service were destroyed there, while two other aircraft suffered serious damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he assured that a subsequent attack hit a helicopter hangar and caused significant damage to two heavy American helicopters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Revolutionary Guard also claimed that a bombing against a housing center for U.S. forces caused the death or injury of several military personnel from that country, information that has not been confirmed by Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the beginning of the war between Iran, the United States, and Israel on February 28th, at least 18 U.S. military personnel have died and about 450 have been injured, according to figures released by Iranian authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan stated, for its part, that its air defense systems intercepted four of the six Iranian missiles launched against its territory, while the other two fell in uninhabited areas, causing no casualties or material damage, according to a statement released by a military source from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Iranian media reported explosions on the southern islands of Lark and Qeshm, located in the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Tasnim news agency, linked to the Revolutionary Guard, a member of the Basij militia died in the US attack on Qeshm Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Iranian Ministry of Health reported, at the same time, that the US attacks since July 6 have caused 53 deaths and 592 injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to that report, among the deceased are six women and three minors, while the injured include 39 women and 23 minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
