{"id":516849,"date":"2026-07-22T12:56:18","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T16:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/government-delivers-1100-certifications-and-recognizes-companies-for-promoting-occupational-health-and-safety\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T12:56:18","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T16:56:18","slug":"government-delivers-1100-certifications-and-recognizes-companies-for-promoting-occupational-health-and-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/government-delivers-1100-certifications-and-recognizes-companies-for-promoting-occupational-health-and-safety\/","title":{"rendered":"Government delivers 1,100 certifications and recognizes companies for promoting occupational health and safety"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong>\u2013 The Dominican Government delivered 1,100 certifications from the Occupational Health and Safety Program this Wednesday and recognized dozens of companies and institutions for their efforts in preventing occupational risks and promoting safe work environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activity was led by President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Labor, Eddy Olivares Ortega, in an event organized by the Ministry of Labor, through the General Directorate of Industrial Hygiene and Safety (DGHSI), with the participation of representatives from the business, labor, and government sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the ceremony, the president highlighted (insert president&#8217;s statements).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For his part, Minister Eddy Olivares stated (insert minister&#8217;s statements).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the president of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP), Celso Juan Marranzini, stated (insert statements), while the president of the National Council of Union Unity (CNUS), Rafael \u201cPepe\u201d Abreu, assessed (insert statements).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The certifications were granted to companies and institutions that complied with the provisions established in Regulation 522-06 on Occupational Safety and Health and Resolution 04-2007, which contemplate the identification and control of occupational risks, the implementation of prevention programs, staff training, the provision of protective equipment, and the guarantee of safe working conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the event, organizations that have stood out for effectively implementing occupational health and safety management systems were also recognized. Among them are Banco Popular Dominicano, Barrick Pueblo Viejo, AES Dominicana, Corporaci\u00f3n Aeroportuaria del Este, CEDIMAT, Molinos del Valle, Rizek Dominicana, Cibao International Airport, Group Pharma Corp, Baltimore Dominicana (Baldom), Hire Horatio RD, Central Romana Corporation, Cutler Hammer Industries, Hageco Constructora, B. Braun Medical, Agro Productores de Arroz de la Provincia Duarte, and Fiesta B\u00e1varo Hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) received special recognition for its contribution to the training of emergency brigades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Employers&#8217; Confederation of the Dominican Republic (COPARDOM), the Autonomous Confederation of Classist Unions (CASC), and the Association of Merchants and Industrialists of Santiago (ACIS) were also distinguished for their contribution to strengthening the culture of prevention in the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the equally recognized entities are DOMICEM, Warling S\u00e1nchez, Playa Grande Golf &amp; Ocean Club, Dominican Petroleum Refinery (REFIDOMSA), AES Andr\u00e9s LNG, Brenntag Caribe, SAM and Equipos SRL, Safety Extreme, and the First Aid Evaluation Corps (CEPASI), for their outstanding response to emergency situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list of honored institutions also included Almacenes Unidos, Asociaci\u00f3n Popular de Ahorros y Pr\u00e9stamos (APAP), Banco Fondesa, Banco BHD, Hoteles Catalonia, Consorcio Minero Dominicano (Cemento Panam), Frito Lay, Grupo Ramos, Laboratorio Amadita, Metro Gas, Cibao International Airport, Bepensa Dominicana, Colgate Palmolive, Fumigadora Marte, Industrias Macier, and Malesp\u00edn Constructora, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ministry of Labor recalled that the Recognition Program for Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health, created in 2020, aims to incentivize the adoption of efficient management systems, promote continuous improvement, and strengthen the culture of prevention to protect the lives and health of workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activity was also attended by vice ministers, departmental directors, representatives of the business sector, trade union organizations, and special guests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Santo Domingo.\u2013 The Dominican Government delivered 1,100 certifications from the Occupational Health and Safety Program this Wednesday and recognized dozens of companies and institutions for their efforts in preventing occupational risks and promoting safe work environments.
