Castillo maintained that \u201cwith these congratulations, we establish the importance that the LNB Super League, the only one with a professional status, has for Dominican basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe TBS Distrito and the LNB Super League are two of the most important events in the country, where the public can see the best players on our half of the island,\u201d said the district leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Gigantes defeated the Metros 91-80 in the sixth game of the final series, scheduled as a best-of-seven, which was held last Sunday at the Mario Ortega sports center in San Francisco de Macor\u00eds, in the Duarte province, to claim their third historic crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Gigantes were proclaimed national champions in the 2013 tournaments (over the Tigres del Licey) and in 2019 (against the Metros), when they were known at that time as the Indios de San Francisco de Macor\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
