Puerto Plata.<\/strong>\u2013 A man who has remained a fugitive from justice for more than a year for an alleged<\/a> homicide has again been identified as the supposed perpetrator of another murder that occurred recently in the Puerto Plata province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Jeuri Ortiz del Rosario<\/strong>, alias “Maco Toro”<\/strong>, who is wanted by the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) for his alleged participation in two homicides committed in the years 2025 and 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the first incident occurred on July 9, 2025<\/strong> on 22nd Street in the Ginebra Arzeno<\/strong> sector, where he allegedly shot and killed Jael Mej\u00eda<\/strong>, known as “Nino”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the second case was recorded on July 20, 2026<\/strong> in the Los Sufridos<\/strong> sector, also in Puerto Plata. In this incident, the victim was identified as Amaury Rom\u00e1n N\u00fa\u00f1ez<\/strong>, who also died from gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigations indicate that in the first homicide, Ortiz del Rosario allegedly acted together with a man of Haitian nationality identified as Jackson Dhaiti<\/strong>, alias “Jaki Bemba”<\/strong>. Meanwhile, in the most recent crime, he allegedly had the participation of another individual known only by the nicknames “Joel”<\/strong> and\/or “Pu\u00f1ala”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For both cases, DICRIM maintains an active search for “Maco Toro”<\/strong>, identified as the main suspect in both homicides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relatives of the victims requested that the authorities expedite his capture, considering that he represents<\/a> a danger to society and with the goal of preventing further acts of violence from occurring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
