His body was left lying on the public road while authorities arrived at the scene to begin investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to preliminary information, the incident occurred during a dispute on Street 2 of the aforementioned sector. Unofficial versions indicate that the young man had gone to the scene to intervene in a fight in which one of his brothers was allegedly involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under those circumstances, a man identified only by the nickname <strong>&#8220;Jhonny&#8221;<\/strong>, the son of a local fisherman, allegedly fired the shots that ended the life of Catedral de la Cruz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Members of the National Police and representatives of the Public Ministry arrived at the scene to carry out the removal of the body and collect evidence to clarify the circumstances of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, the authorities have not offered an official version of the case nor reported any arrests related to the homicide, while investigations continue to establish responsibilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Puerto Plata.\u2013 A young man lost his life on Wednesday night after being wounded by several gunshots during a violent incident that occurred in the El Javillar sector, in the lower part of the Puerto Plata province.
