{"id":517151,"date":"2026-07-23T11:43:40","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T15:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/edesur-launches-electrical-grid-rehabilitation-and-expansion-program-with-an-investment-exceeding-rd1-907-billion\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T11:43:40","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T15:43:40","slug":"edesur-launches-electrical-grid-rehabilitation-and-expansion-program-with-an-investment-exceeding-rd1-907-billion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/edesur-launches-electrical-grid-rehabilitation-and-expansion-program-with-an-investment-exceeding-rd1-907-billion\/","title":{"rendered":"Edesur launches electrical grid rehabilitation and expansion program with an investment exceeding RD$1.907 billion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>San Crist\u00f3bal.\u2013<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/edesur-inicia-programa-de-rehabilitacion-y-expansion-de-redes-electricas-con-inversion\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/edesur-inicia-programa-de-rehabilitacion-y-expansion-de-redes-electricas-con-inversion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Edesur Dominicana <\/a>began work on the Polygon Recovery Program (PRP), an extensive plan for the rehabilitation and expansion of electrical grids that covers the eleven provinces within its concession area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative, which contemplates an investment of over RD$1.907 billion, seeks to optimize the electric power service and guarantee the company&#8217;s operational sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The works began to be executed in Do\u00f1a Ana, in San Crist\u00f3bal; Esteban\u00eda, in Azua; Escondido, in Ban\u00ed; Los Invasores, in San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa; and Juancho and Los Altagracianos, in Pedernales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In these demarcations, pole-raising work is being carried out to support the new power lines, with the goal of bringing energy to locations where a secure electrical service did not previously exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the Polygon Recovery Program, the construction of more than 260 kilometers of medium-voltage networks is planned, with the aim of normalizing the supply for tens of thousands of users. In addition, it includes the deployment of anti-fraud networks, technological solutions to facilitate remote metering, and tools to improve the management of customer consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In San Crist\u00f3bal, the project contemplates an investment of over RD$324.8 million and will benefit 5,133 customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to Do\u00f1a Ana, the program includes communities such as La Palmita, Monte Adentro, La Altagracia, Loma Verde, El Siete, Los Guananitos, San Jos\u00e9 del Puerto, Los Guanchos, Sabana Toro, El Enea de Hato Dama, Rancho Yagua, El Kil\u00f3metro 59, and Los Corozos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/edesur-modernizara-redes\/\">Edesur will modernize electrical grids in Bahoruco with an investment exceeding RD$94.1 million<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Azua, the work began in Esteban\u00eda and similar projects are planned for Las Charcas, Villa Esperanza, Los Solares, San Miguel, Los Riveras, Las Yayas, as well as in the Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas and Las Cabuyitas neighborhoods, with a total investment of RD$421.4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, the Polygon Recovery Program began in Escondido, Ban\u00ed, and will extend to the localities of Las Tablas, Ana Luc\u00eda, Ca\u00f1afistol, and the Guayacanes and Vista E\u00f3lica neighborhoods. In Peravia, the company plans to invest more than RD$200.7 million, with interventions that will benefit some 3,168 customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edesur is also moving forward with the installation of poles in Los Invasores, San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa, a province where the distributor will invest approximately RD$70.3 million in the improvement and expansion of the electrical grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similar works are being carried out in Juancho and Los Altagracianos, in Pedernales, where the distributor will invest approximately RD$190.2 million to develop the program, which will benefit approximately 2,176 users in that province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the Polygon Recovery Program, Edesur seeks not only to expand its electrical infrastructure, but also to regularize service in areas with non-existent or deteriorated networks, optimize billing processes, and reduce electrical losses, contributing to fewer failures and ensuring greater safety for properties and users.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>San Crist\u00f3bal.\u2013 Edesur Dominicana began work on the Polygon Recovery Program (PRP), an extensive plan for the rehabilitation and expansion of electrical grids that covers the eleven provinces within its concession area.
