At least six people died in a Russian missile attack carried out in broad daylight<\/strong> this Friday against the Kyiv<\/strong> region, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong> on his X account. And another five lost their lives in Slovyansk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Zelensky also said, without giving further details about the location of the attack or the nature of the target, that the bombing caused dozens of injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The owner of the private Ukrainian drone manufacturer First Contact, Valeri Borovik<\/strong>, stated live on a broadcast by the media outlet Apostrof<\/em> that Russia had hit an arms exhibition<\/strong> in this attack carried out late Friday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>The Ukrainian Defense Manufacturers Council has confirmed that representatives of the industry were gathered at the attacked site<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Borovik and the Arms Manufacturers Council have indicated that there are dead and wounded in the attack.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelensky<\/strong> reported that \u201ca rescue operation is currently underway in the Kiev region<\/strong>\u201d following a Russian missile attack and stated that, preliminarily, \u201cdozens of people injured<\/strong>\u201d and six dead<\/strong> were reported. \u201cMy condolences to their families and loved ones,\u201d he added when referring to the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelensky further stated that the response teams’ tasks remain active to clarify what happened. \u201cEfforts to determine exactly what happened and the fate of those affected are ongoing. All necessary emergency services are on the scene,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the leader, the attacks hit civilian infrastructure and vehicles. \u201cThe Russians damaged ordinary homes, the consulate building, and vehicles<\/strong>,\u201d he detailed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zelensky described the events as aggression directed against the population<\/strong>. \u201cThese were brutal attacks against civilians, and the Russians must be held accountable for them,\u201d he demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also maintained that Moscow no longer respects international frameworks. \u201cRussia has long since abandoned any regard for international norms and human values. Its only interest is to continue with the killings,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When referring to external assistance, the Ukrainian president asked that allies assume the impact of their support in protecting the population. \u201cIt is important that our partners fully understand that protecting lives also depends on them,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
