unchanged for the week of July 25 to 31, 2026, despite the fact that the price of a barrel of Texas oil, the benchmark for the country, stood above US$92, as did refined products, which continue to trend upward.

The setback in peace agreements and new potential threats of armed attacks on producing nations, along with the possibility of new restrictions on the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, have generated an upward escalation and instability in the prices of oil and its derivatives, with a greater proportion in finished products, even more so than in crude oil itself.

However, the Dominican state continues its policy of protecting the population from the inflationary shock derived from the conflict, allocating a subsidy of RD$1.149 billion this week, totaling RD$23.343 billion so far this year.

With this week’s prices, the State is subsidizing RD$80.99 pesos for every gallon of regular diesel purchased by consumers, and RD$53.39 for every gallon of regular gasoline, to avoid price increases in cargo transport and, consequently, in essential goods, as well as in passenger transport, which is the most used by the less affluent sectors.

While it is subsidized with RD$25.69 for every gallon of premium gasoline and RD$76.16 per gallon of optimal diesel consumed.

Likewise, RD$15.22 is subsidized for each gallon of LPG, also to avoid price hikes in public transport and in Dominican households.

For the week of July 25 to July 31, 2026, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs mandates that fuels be sold at the following prices:

Premium gasoline will be sold at RD$338.10 per gallon, maintaining its
