Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> Stores in the National District<\/a> recorded a moderate flow of shoppers this Sunday during the celebration of Father’s Day, while merchants attribute part of this behavior to the fact that consumers have begun to organize themselves and make their purchases several days in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jos\u00e9 Pi\u00f1ero, owner of Centro Moda, explained that during the first hours of the day commercial activity remained slow, although he expected the influx to increase as the day progressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The merchant pointed out that, unlike in previous years, when many people left gift shopping until the last minute, consumers now tend to get ahead and purchase items to give to their parents well in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople are getting educated and are organizing themselves. They come in the days before to buy their gift for dad,\u201d explained Pi\u00f1ero, highlighting that sales for this date have shown good performance in recent years.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Among the shoppers who visited stores this Sunday, clothing items remained among the top gift choices, with t-shirts and pants being some of the items selected for the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
