{"id":518194,"date":"2026-07-27T22:50:43","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T02:50:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/minerd-advances-in-preparations-for-the-2026-2027-school-year-with-the-delivery-of-materials-and-new-classrooms\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T22:50:43","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T02:50:43","slug":"minerd-advances-in-preparations-for-the-2026-2027-school-year-with-the-delivery-of-materials-and-new-classrooms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/minerd-advances-in-preparations-for-the-2026-2027-school-year-with-the-delivery-of-materials-and-new-classrooms\/","title":{"rendered":"Minerd advances in preparations for the 2026-2027 school year with the delivery of materials and new classrooms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.-<\/strong> The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd) continues <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/minerd-avanza-en-los-preparativos-del-ano-escolar-2026-2027-con-entrega-de-materiales-y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">executing<\/a> the comprehensive preparation plan for the start of the 2026-2027 school year, through the distribution of educational materials, the delivery of school supplies, and the opening of new classrooms, with the goal of ensuring that students and teachers find the necessary conditions from the first day of classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of these preparations, the Ministry of Education has distributed <strong>3,071,764 textbooks and 4,532,609 workbooks<\/strong>, while the National Institute of Student Welfare (<strong>INABIE<\/strong>) has delivered <strong>678,925 school supply kits<\/strong> and the School Infrastructure Directorate is developing a program that includes the delivery of 1,500 new classrooms for the start of the school year in August and to complete between <strong>2,300 and 2,500<\/strong> by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of the total books distributed, <strong>127,746<\/strong> correspond to the initial level, <strong>2,273,714<\/strong> to the primary level, and <strong>670,305<\/strong> to the secondary level. Likewise, <strong>4,532,609<\/strong> workbooks have been dispatched, of which <strong>1,838,524<\/strong> correspond to the primary level and <strong>2,675,143<\/strong> to the secondary level, as part of the <strong>pedagogical resources<\/strong> that will be available for the development of teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Distribution continues in a staggered manner from the logistics centers in <strong>Haina, Pedro Brand, and Santiago<\/strong> until delivery is completed throughout the national territory before the start of the school calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>We recommend reading: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/rd-presenta-candidatura\/\">DR presents bid to host the 2028 World Schools Debate Championship<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In parallel, INABIE has distributed <strong>678,925 school supply kits<\/strong>, equivalent to <strong>38%<\/strong> of the programming planned for the 2026-2027 school year. The materials have been sent to <strong>33 School Districts<\/strong>, which group together <strong>1,574<\/strong> schools in the <strong>National District and the provinces of Santo Domingo, Santiago, Barahona, and Bahoruco.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, the Government plans to benefit <strong>1,806,872<\/strong> students from 6,577 educational centers with the <strong>free delivery of school supplies and uniforms<\/strong>, which represents an estimated savings of between <strong>RD 3,864 and RD 5,433<\/strong> per student for Dominican families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the preparation plan for the upcoming academic year, the <strong>School Infrastructure Directorate<\/strong> projects to deliver <strong>1,500 new classrooms<\/strong> by the start of the school year in August and to complete between <strong>2,300 and 2,500<\/strong> by the end of the year.
