The son of Chiefs assistant coach Eric Bieniemy was arrested and charged with shooting his mother, Mia Bieniemy, wife of the Kansas City offensive coordinator, according to Virginia authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported this Monday that deputies responded Sunday night to a shooting in Ashburn, Virginia, where they found 57-year-old Mia Bieniemy with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a hospital and was in stable condition this Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, the couple’s son, was arrested in connection with the shooting. He is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm within a dwelling. He remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eric Bieniemy was with the Chiefs during the team’s practice in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Sunday. However, he did not attend this Monday’s practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
