{"id":518249,"date":"2026-07-28T09:55:04","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T13:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/electricity-demand-breaks-its-all-time-record-again-and-reaches-4203-mw\/"},"modified":"2026-07-28T09:55:04","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T13:55:04","slug":"electricity-demand-breaks-its-all-time-record-again-and-reaches-4203-mw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/electricity-demand-breaks-its-all-time-record-again-and-reaches-4203-mw\/","title":{"rendered":"Electricity demand breaks its all-time record again and reaches 4,203 MW"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.<\/strong>&#8211; The national electricity demand set a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presidencia.gob.do\/noticias\/demanda-electrica-vuelve-romper-su-record-historico-y-alcanza-los-4203-mw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">historical record<\/a> this Monday by registering <em>4,203 megawatts<\/em> (MW) of instantaneous power supplied at 8:56 p.m., reported the Minister of Energy and Mines, Joel Santos, who highlighted that the National Interconnected Electric System (SENI) fully responded to the increase in consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this new mark, the country surpasses for the <strong>fourth consecutive record<\/strong> the historical highs reached during July, reflecting the <strong>sustained growth<\/strong> of electricity demand in the middle of the summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through his account on the social network X, Santos indicated that it was foreseeable that the system would continue to set <strong>new consumption peaks<\/strong> and assured that this trend will continue for the remainder of July, as well as in the months of <strong>August and September,<\/strong> when high temperatures and increased use of air conditioning equipment significantly raise energy demand, all combined with <strong>greater economic activity<\/strong> that has been recorded throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new record <strong>exceeds the 4,195.26 MW<\/strong> reached on the 23rd of this month and adds to a <strong>series of all-time highs<\/strong> reached this same month.
