{"id":518674,"date":"2026-07-29T21:54:18","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T01:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/sns-director-affirms-response-capacity-of-the-public-health-network-for-central-americans-and-the-caribbean\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T21:55:43","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T01:55:43","slug":"sns-director-affirms-response-capacity-of-the-public-health-network-for-central-americans-and-the-caribbean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/sns-director-affirms-response-capacity-of-the-public-health-network-for-central-americans-and-the-caribbean\/","title":{"rendered":"SNS Director affirms response capacity of the Public Health Network for Central Americans and the Caribbean"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo<\/strong>.\u2013 The executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio C\u00e9sar Landr\u00f3n, stated that the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games demonstrate the response capacity of the Public Health Network, thanks to hospital infrastructure, specialized personnel, technology, and effective inter-institutional coordination that allow for the provision of timely and free assistance to athletes, delegations, visitors, and the general population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Landr\u00f3n explained that the SNS made the entire Public Health Network available to the sporting event, comprised of more than 200 hospitals, 1,710 Primary Care Units (UNAP), and nearly 89,000 collaborators, with the purpose of guaranteeing permanent medical assistance at each of the competition venues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official highlighted that, by order of President Luis Abinader, the Dominican State offers free medical care to athletes, their companions, and their families, regardless of whether or not they have international health insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, he pointed out that the Dr. Luis Eduardo Aybar Health City constitutes the main reference center for the health operation, by concentrating high-complexity hospitals and a multidisciplinary team made up of neurosurgeons, orthopedists, sports medicine specialists, intensivists, and other professionals prepared to respond to any medical eventuality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You can also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/nacionales\/sns-asegua-hospitales-preparados\/\">SNS assures hospitals are prepared to provide care<\/a><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explained that the operation also has specialized diagnostic studies available, including magnetic resonance imaging when injuries require it, in addition to maintaining permanent coordination with the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Response System for the timely transfer of patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Landr\u00f3n reported that more than 500 doctors are participating in the health operation deployed in Santo Domingo, Santiago, Bonao, La Vega, Moca, Cabarete, Punta Arena, and the other venues where the competitions are taking place.
