Dominican Republic debuts today against Puerto Rico in Central American baseball<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\nFrom the early hours of the morning there will be simultaneous activity in different venues in Santo Domingo and Santiago, where athletes from across the region will compete for medals in swimming, diving, bowling, tennis, wrestling, beach volleyball, softball, and speed skating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the Juan Pablo Duarte Aquatic Center<\/strong>, swimming will open the day with the preliminaries starting at 9:00 in the morning and will conclude with seven finals starting at 6:00 in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Bowling Plaza<\/strong> will host the finals for the overall female and male champion, as well as the start of the team competition in both categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Parque del Este Tennis Center<\/strong> will be the venue for the Nations Cup finals in the women’s and men’s categories, while the Aquatic Center will also host the finals of the women’s one-meter springboard and the men’s synchronized three-meter springboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Sports Malecon<\/strong> will host an extensive beach volleyball program, with qualifying matches, semifinals, and the finals in both categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\nOne of the most anticipated moments of the day will be the start of the wrestling<\/strong> competitions, when Combat Pavilion No. 1<\/strong> hosts the men’s freestyle preliminaries starting at 10:00 a.m. and the finals for six categories beginning at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Juan Pablo Duarte Softball Stadium<\/strong> will host the women’s tournament final, while the Paseo 30 de Mayo Skating Rink<\/strong> will determine the champions of the 10,000-meter elimination and 500-meter plus distance sprint events.<\/p>\n\n\n\nTeam sports<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The day will also include key matches in various team disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the baseball<\/strong> tournament, the Dominican national team will debut against Puerto Rico at 7:30 at night, at Baseball Field No. 3 of the Olympic Center.
