unchanged for the week of August 1 to 7, 2026, despite the fact that the average price of a barrel of Texas oil (WTI) is above US$85 and even traded above US$92 this same week.

However, the Government continues with its policy of protecting the most vulnerable population by subsidizing fuels so that their real prices are not fully transferred to consumers and, consequently, to avoid an inflationary escalation.

For this week, the Government is allocating a subsidy of RD$1.3693 billion, with the total allocated so far this year already approaching RD$25 billion.

With this week’s prices, the State is subsidizing RD$93.35 pesos for every gallon of regular diesel purchased by consumers, and RD$52.27 for every gallon of regular gasoline, to avoid price hikes in freight transport and, consequently, in basic necessities, as well as in passenger transport, which is the most used by the less affluent sectors.

While it is subsidized with RD$26.77 for every gallon of premium gasoline and RD$84.09 per gallon of optimum diesel consumed.

Likewise, a subsidy of RD$17.82 is applied to each gallon of LPG, also to prevent price increases in public transportation and for Dominican households.

For the week of August 1 to August 7, 2026, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs mandates that fuels be
