{"id":519077,"date":"2026-07-31T18:04:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-31T22:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/police-capture-el-solitario-accused-of-snatch-theft-robberies-in-santiago\/"},"modified":"2026-07-31T18:09:32","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T22:09:32","slug":"police-capture-el-solitario-accused-of-snatch-theft-robberies-in-santiago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/police-capture-el-solitario-accused-of-snatch-theft-robberies-in-santiago\/","title":{"rendered":"Police capture \u201cEl Solitario\u201d, accused of snatch-theft robberies in Santiago"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santiago.\u2013<\/strong> The National Police reported this Friday the capture of Kenedi Bladimir Reyes Tavares, known as \u201cEl Solitario\u201d and\/or \u201cHonguito,\u201d identified as the alleged perpetrator of a series of snatch-and-grab robberies that had residents of several sectors of Santiago on alert, where, according to investigations, he acted with violence and pretended to carry a firearm to intimidate his victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The arrest was executed by agents of the Division of Investigation of Crimes against Property, in compliance with judicial order No. 2026-AJ0043495, following an investigation initiated by the report of the theft of a wallet containing cash, personal documents, bank cards, a cell phone, and other belongings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the police report, the accused used a modus operandi consisting of intercepting his victims while riding a motorcycle, threatening them by pretending to be armed, and stripping them of their belongings. In several of the cases, he even dragged them to carry out the robbery, causing high-risk situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The authorities indicated that Reyes Tavares is also listed as the alleged perpetrator of multiple complaints for thefts of wallets, cell phones, chains, and other valuables in sectors such as Gurabo, Los Reyes, Barrio Libertad, Las Colinas, Cerro Alto, and El INVI.
