Ceuta (Spain).-<\/strong> The number of bodies recovered<\/strong> on the coast of the Spanish city of Ceuta following the massive entry of people from Morocco<\/strong> in recent days has risen to 67<\/strong>, according to data provided to EFE by authorities in that border town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Civil Guard<\/strong> maintains a constant search to locate more bodies in the area near the Tarajal border breakwater, which separates Spain from Morocco, where thousands of people have swum across to Ceuta since last Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the constant increase in the number of recovered bodies, a space was set up at the port of the Spanish North African city to accommodate the bodies, pending their identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the latest update on fatalities, the number of migrants who have died<\/strong> so far in 2026 while attempting to swim into this Spanish city has risen to 99<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning, a meeting began at the headquarters of the Government Delegation in Ceuta between the Spanish Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, the Government Delegate, Miguel \u00c1ngel P\u00e9rez, and police commanders to analyze the evolution of the situation in the autonomous city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, a large part of the approximately 50,000 people who crossed the border have already returned to Morocco.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
