Bogot\u00e1.- <\/strong>The Colombian president, Gustavo Petro<\/strong>, accused this Sunday the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu<\/strong>, of being the culprit of the migration crisis in the Spanish city of Ceuta, <\/strong>where last Thursday tens of thousands of people entered from Morocco and 71 migrants have lost their lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They pay for the poor to risk their lives to reach Spain, and the poor of Islam should instead obtain the right to decide in a real democracy in Morocco,” expressed Petro on his X account, who will end his term next Friday.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The president, who did not publish evidence for his claims, pointed out that in Spain it is not “the fascist who pays to invade and bomb Guernica or the Arabs to invade the libertarian Republic, but the one who pays is Netanyahu, the one who killed 22,000 sacred Palestinian babies<\/strong>, there where Jesus was born, and where the sacred and multicultural city of Jerusalem is located”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thousands of these migrants have already returned to Morocco due to pressure from Spanish Security Forces, the announcement of an agreement between Spain and Morocco for their repatriation, and the absence of open shops or bars in Ceuta to meet their most basic needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, due to the magnitude of this migration crisis, there is no exact data accounting for how many people crossed the border between both countries since this Thursday, only approximations, but the amount is well over 50,000 -Ceuta has 84,000 inhabitants- and the majority have already returned to their country, provisionally estimated at 73,500 by police sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that sense, Petro stated that “the Moroccan people must stop looking at Spain and focus on the power of Morocco itself, which has surrendered to the design of a fugitive genocidal leader in the world: Netanyahu,”<\/strong> in reference to the good relationship that those two countries have.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

“A democratic Arab Morocco united with the Arab people to defend the culture and the very essence of what was written in books that, due to their wisdom, were sacred, the Bible and the Quran, which speak of love and dialogue,” wrote the Colombian president on X.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Petro, who has labeled Netanyahu a “genocidal” for the war in Gaza, often criticizes the Israeli prime minister for that military offensive and also accuses him of financing an alleged campaign against him that includes, according to him, fraud in the presidential elections of last June 21 in Colombia in which the far-right Abelardo de la Espriella won, a victory he does not recognize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
