Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei told reporters that “we currently have no negotiations with the United States” and said any future discussions would depend on how the situation develops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baghaei’s comments came hours after Trump said he had canceled a “massive attack” against Iran and claimed negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement would restart on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Iranian officials stressed that their current diplomatic efforts are focused on bilateral talks with Oman regarding a proposal to establish a secure navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tehran maintains that progress on the strategic waterway depends on broader regional conditions, including what it describes as U.S. hostility, the naval blockade and ongoing military tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
