El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a.<\/strong>– The Commanding General of the Dominican Republic Army<\/strong>, Major General Jorge Iv\u00e1n Camino P\u00e9rez, delivered this Friday the renovated military post in the Guaroa section, in the municipality of B\u00e1nica, El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a province, as part of the military infrastructure strengthening program that the institution is developing in the border area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The intervention included the structural reinforcement of the building, the rehabilitation of the bathrooms, the replacement of floors, doors, and windows, as well as the conditioning of the accommodation areas intended for military personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, improvements were made to the electrical and plumbing installations, waterproofing, painting and lighting work, the construction of sidewalks, the repair of the perimeter fence, and the incorporation of new furniture, with the aim of optimizing the habitability, functionality, and safety conditions of the detachment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the handover ceremony, Major General Camino P\u00e9rez highlighted that these works are part of the institutional commitment to strengthen the Army’s operational capabilities and improve the living conditions of the soldiers serving on the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-ranking officer pointed out that the modernization of military posts contributes to greater efficiency in fulfilling the mission of defending national sovereignty and strengthening the security of the territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity was attended by the provincial governor of El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a, Migdaly de los Santos; the commander of the Third Infantry Brigade, Colonel Domingo Cruz Sosa; the director of the Municipal Board of Sabana Cruz, Isidro Espichicoque Rivera, as well as Army officers, civil authorities, and community representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this delivery, the Dominican Republic Army continues to execute its program of renovation and modernization of detachments and military posts in the border area, with the purpose of strengthening the institutional presence and improving the working conditions of the personnel deployed along the border line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
