Santo Domingo.- <\/strong>The National Association of Herrera Companies and Industries (ANEIH)<\/strong> opened the call for entries this Tuesday for the eighth edition of the National Quality Award for the Private Sector of the Dominican Republic.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Companies interested in participating will have until September 18, 2026, to complete their registration. The call is aimed at organizations dedicated to the production of goods and services, both domestic and foreign-owned, that are established in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award seeks to recognize companies that stand out for the quality of their management, competitiveness, innovation, and sustainable development. It also aims to promote continuous improvement and strengthen the culture of quality within the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANEIH president, \u00c1ngelo Viro, explained that participating companies must complete the required documentation, undergo an evaluation, and receive a visit from the team in charge of verifying the information submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viro pointed out that companies face an increasingly demanding market, where consumers require better products and services and competition is no longer limited to the national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn this context, quality has ceased to be an advantage and has become an essential condition for competing,\u201d stated the president of the ANEIH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he invited companies that have never participated to be part of the process and highlighted that one of the main benefits of the award is that organizations can identify their strengths and detect aspects that need improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gianna Franjul, Vice Minister of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), also participated in the launch, calling on Dominican companies to take advantage of the call for applications to strengthen their processes and prepare for market challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franjul highlighted that the MICM has supported this initiative since 2022 and assured that the award is an important tool to promote a culture of quality in the productive sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official also highlighted the participation of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, considering that quality can help these businesses grow, improve, and innovate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award includes categories for micro, small, medium, and large companies in the industrial and service sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participating companies must first perform a self-assessment and will then be evaluated by an independent technical team, which will visit their facilities to verify the evidence presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the recognition, organizations will receive a report with their strengths and opportunities for improvement. Winning companies will be able to use the official award seal on their institutional materials and access training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of the company that wins the Grand Prize, it will have the possibility to represent the Dominican Republic in the Ibero-American Quality Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
