Mexican influencer C\u00e9sar Gastelum was shot and killed Tuesday evening while livestreaming with two friends in Culiac\u00e1n, Sinaloa, just meters from the state Attorney General’s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gastelum, known online as “Cesar\u00edn,” had nearly 600,000 followers on TikTok and was broadcasting live on the streaming platform Kick under the username “compasexor” when the attack occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports, the three content creators were outside a KFC restaurant dressed as food delivery workers as part of a social media challenge. During the livestream, they appeared alarmed after a motorcycle passed by, with one of them saying, “Let’s go… the motorcycle, the motorcycle,” while another admitted he felt frightened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moments later, the motorcycle reportedly returned, and one of its occupants allegedly opened fire, striking Gastelum in the head. The 25-year-old died at the scene as thousands of viewers witnessed the shooting live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities have launched an investigation into the killing, but no motive has been officially confirmed. Gastelum’s social media accounts have since been flooded with messages of condolence from followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
