{"id":519770,"date":"2026-08-05T19:54:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T23:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/trae-reinforces-buses-for-the-2026-2027-school-year\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T19:54:18","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T23:54:18","slug":"trae-reinforces-buses-for-the-2026-2027-school-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/trae-reinforces-buses-for-the-2026-2027-school-year\/","title":{"rendered":"TRAE reinforces buses for the 2026-2027 school year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.- <\/strong>As part of the <strong>preparations<\/strong> for the start of the <strong>2026-2027<\/strong> school year, the <strong>National Student Transportation System<\/strong> (TRAE) is carrying out the distribution of <strong>29 buses<\/strong> in different communities across the country, with the purpose of <strong>strengthening the school mobility service<\/strong> and guaranteeing the <strong>safe, free, and dignified<\/strong> transport of the <strong>more than two million students<\/strong> who will return to the classrooms this coming <strong>August 24.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The expansion of the fleet<\/strong> responds to the commitment made by the Minister of Education, <strong>Luis Miguel De Camps<\/strong>, to continue raising the quality of educational services and strengthening the National Student Transportation System as a <strong>fundamental tool<\/strong> to guarantee students&#8217; access to educational centers under conditions of <strong>safety and efficiency.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With these additions, TRAE continues to strengthen its operational capacity. Currently, the system has a fleet of <strong>1,871 buses<\/strong> that provide service in the <strong>31 provinces and the National District<\/strong>, benefiting <strong>thousands of students<\/strong> daily throughout the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The distribution of the new units covers various locations prioritized according to service needs. In the community of <strong>La Ure\u00f1a, in Santo Domingo Este<\/strong>, three buses were incorporated; while in the municipality of <strong>El Pino<\/strong>, <strong>Dajab\u00f3n<\/strong> province, two units were delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> province, <strong>three buses<\/strong> were assigned to the municipality of Cabrera, two to the municipality of <strong>El Factor<\/strong>, and two to <strong>Nagua<\/strong>. Likewise, one bus was incorporated for the <strong>Capotillo<\/strong> community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Southern region<\/strong>, TRAE will have two buses available for <strong>Nizao<\/strong>; one bus for <strong>Las Charcas<\/strong>, in Azua; another for <strong>Esteban\u00eda<\/strong>, also in Azua, and one unit for the municipality of <strong>El Cercado<\/strong>, in the San Juan province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Greater Santo Domingo, two buses were delivered for the <strong>Las Ca\u00f1itas<\/strong> sector, in addition to four units destined for communities with students at the <strong>Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Perpetuo Socorro Military School<\/strong>, of the Dominican Republic Armed Forces.
