Prosecutors maintain that approximately <strong>$925,000<\/strong> in cryptocurrency linked to the alleged scheme was subsequently recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the indictment, Yaroch performed duties in the FBI&#8217;s Counterintelligence and Espionage Division in Washington. The investigation indicates that he made multiple transfers from the seized wallets between 2024 and 2025, taking advantage of the access he had as part of his official responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Federal authorities filed charges for <strong>interstate transportation of stolen goods<\/strong> and <strong>receipt of stolen property<\/strong>, as investigations continue into the handling of digital funds. Although the indictment does not include a specific charge for cryptocurrency theft, the case is based on the alleged misuse of information and access obtained during the official investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the court file, the former agent admitted to Department of Justice officials that he had made &#8220;bad decisions&#8221; regarding digital assets and claimed to feel burdened by guilt. After the facts became known, the FBI proceeded with his arrest and separation from the agency. The process continues in a federal court in Virginia, where he must answer to the accusations.
