Beijing described these actions as a violation of Argentine sovereignty and asserted that they hinder free competition and commercial cooperation between companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For his part, the United States ambassador in Buenos Aires, Peter Lamelas, defended his country&#8217;s position by pointing out that decisions regarding the granting of visas are part of its national security policy.
