Colombia.<\/strong>– The inauguration of Abelardo de la Espriella<\/strong> as president of Colombia for the 2026-2030 term will be marked by a wide participation of international delegations, heads of state, foreign ministers, diplomatic representatives, and members of royalty, in a ceremony that will make history by being held outside of Bogot\u00e1 for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protocol ceremony will take place in Cali<\/strong>, capital of the Valle del Cauca department, breaking with the tradition of holding the presidential inauguration in the Colombian capital. The decision makes the city the center of political and diplomatic attention in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mayor of Cali, Alejandro Eder<\/strong>, confirmed the attendance of King Felipe VI of Spain<\/strong>, who will lead one of the most significant international delegations that will participate in the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the Latin American presidents who have confirmed their attendance are Daniel Noboa<\/strong>, of Ecuador; Santiago Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>, of Paraguay; Laura Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, of Costa Rica; Jos\u00e9 Ra\u00fal Mulino<\/strong>, of Panama; Jos\u00e9 Antonio Kast<\/strong>, of Chile; Nasry Asfura<\/strong>, of Honduras, and Luis Abinader<\/strong>, president of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list of special guests also includes the Prime Minister of Cura\u00e7ao, Gilmar Pisas<\/strong>; the Vice Presidents of El Salvador and Guatemala; as well as the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Sweden, and Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
