Cali, Colombia.\u2013 President Luis Abinader<\/strong> arrived this Friday, at 10:40 in the morning (local time), at the Alfonso Bonilla Arag\u00f3n International Airport,<\/strong> in Cali, Colombia<\/strong>, where he will participate in the official acts<\/strong> of the presidential transfer of power of Abelardo de la Espriella<\/strong>, who will assume the Constitutional Presidency of the Republic of Colombia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investiture ceremony is scheduled to be held this Friday, August 7, at the USC Arena of the Santiago de Cali University.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon his arrival, President Abinader was received by the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to Colombia, F\u00e9lix Aracena<\/strong>; the Director of Strategy and Government Communication (Diecom), F\u00e9lix Reyna<\/strong>; the protocol ambassador of Colombia, Ra\u00fal S\u00e1nchez,<\/strong> and other civil and military authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, he received the military honors<\/strong> corresponding to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dominican president arrived in Colombian territory accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>, in response to an official invitation, as part of the strengthening of diplomatic and cooperation relations<\/strong> between the Dominican Republic and Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Official agenda in Cali<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of his agenda in the city of Cali, President Abinader<\/strong> will hold bilateral meetings<\/strong> with heads of state and high-ranking invited authorities, prior to the start of the official ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, he\/she will participate in the protocol greeting<\/strong> that will be offered by the president-elect of Colombia, Abelardo de la Espriella<\/strong>, and his wife, Ana Luc\u00eda Pineda<\/strong>, to the heads of State and Government, vice presidents, and other attending authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, the head of State will participate in the presidential handover ceremony<\/strong>, in which Abelardo de la Espriella will formally assume the Constitutional Presidency of the Republic of Colombia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
