Hunter Biden stated in an interview with the BBC<\/em>, on the program Newsnight<\/em>, that his father, former President Joe Biden’s, prostate cancer spread to his bones and described the condition as painful and debilitating.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that same conversation, he spoke about the 2024 presidential debate that marked the end of his father’s reelection campaign, the pardon he received in December of that year, his history of addiction, and his decision to stay out of an electoral race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Biden’s health status<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the conversation, Hunter Biden became emotional when talking about his father and maintained that \u201ccancer is really hard<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>The former president’s son stated that the disease \u201chas metastasized to his bones and beyond<\/strong>\u201d and described the condition as \u201cvery painful<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cvery debilitating<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interview addressed a controversial topic among supporters and opponents of the former president: the presidential debate of the 2024 elections. After that episode, Biden withdrew his candidacy and was replaced by Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His son said he followed the debate from his home in California and realized immediately that something was not right: \u201cI was shocked. I knew something was wrong<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another topic he mentioned was the presidential pardon<\/strong> he received in December 2024 for his federal gun conviction, a tax case in which he had pleaded guilty, and any federal crimes committed between 2014 and 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter Biden acknowledged that he felt like \u201cthe most privileged person in existence<\/strong>,\u201d even though he considered that the decision was not good for the country, for the Constitution, or for his father’s legacy. Likewise, he noted that he understood the criticism, but questioned: \u201cWhat would they have thought of my father if he hadn’t done that for me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his statements, he explained that his father acted out of fear<\/strong> that he could become a target under the future administration of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was the only person in the world who could have received what I received from the only person in the world who could have given it to me: my father<\/strong>\u201d, he\/she asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunter Biden claimed that Joe Biden pardoned him out of fear that he would be a target under the Donald Trump administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another part of the interview, he spoke about his history of addiction and recalled that, at his worst, he would consume nearly 3.8 liters of vodka a day and smoke crack every 15 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was hell on earth. There is nothing glamorous about it<\/strong>\u201d, he reflected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, he denied that his addictions had anything to do with \u201cfeeling untouchable\u201d<\/strong> for being the son of a president. On the contrary, he emphasized that \u201che was looking for nothing but oblivion<\/strong>\u201d and indicated that his addiction was a way to escape from anxiety and isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, he ruled out any intention of running for public office because, as he specified, he has no interest in electoral politics and wants to dedicate his time to talking about his addiction and recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
