Bogot\u00e1 (EFE).-<\/strong> The President of Colombia, Abelardo de la Espriella, gave his first<\/a> report of results against illegal armed groups this Sunday, two days after taking office, in which he reported the death of six members of those organizations in the departments of Meta (center) and Antioquia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fight against illegal armed groups is one of the priorities of the De la Espriella Government, which began last Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main operation, carried out in coordination between the Army and the Aerospace Force in the municipality of Mapirip\u00e1n (Meta), resulted in the death of alias Ruso or Alem\u00e1n, leader of the 28th Front of the FARC dissidents, led by N\u00e9stor Gregorio Vera, alias Iv\u00e1n Mordisco, the most wanted man in the country and for whom the Government is offering a millionaire reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result of the second operation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the same operation, three other members of that armed group were also “taken out,” De la Espriella detailed on his X account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president added that the second operation was carried out in the municipality of Anor\u00ed, in Antioquia, in coordination between troops of the Seventh Division, the Aerospace Force, the Police, and the Attorney General’s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, two members of the Clan del Golfo died in combat, one of whom was identified as a ringleader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The operation allowed for the seizure of six rifles and abundant war materiel. This criminal structure is the same one that in 2024 murdered four Colombian soldiers who were carrying out operations in that region,” pointed out De la Espriella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, four alleged members of the Gabriel Poveda Ramos structure of the Clan del Golfo were arrested in the municipality of Necocl\u00ed by soldiers of the Seventh Division and the National Navy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
