Santo Domingo. \u2013<\/strong> The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex) <\/a>has enabled assistance channels for Dominicans who are in Colombia and need guidance or support in the event of any emergency related to the earthquake registered this Monday in the vicinity of San Jos\u00e9 del Palmar, in the department of Choc\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Dominican citizens who are in Colombian territory can contact the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in that country or the Consulate General in Bogot\u00e1 to receive guidance and assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call was made through the Mirex social media channels, where the institution urged Dominicans to use the official channels available in the event of any situation arising from the seismic movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measure seeks to facilitate communication between Dominican citizens and the country’s diplomatic representations in Colombia, especially at times when they may require support or information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The earthquake had its epicenter in the vicinity of San Jos\u00e9 del Palmar, in the department of Choc\u00f3, an area located in western Colombia. The strong seismic movement caused concern and left victims and damage in different parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given this scenario, the Mirex reminded Dominicans that they can count on diplomatic representations to request assistance in case of emergency while they remain in Colombian territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Colombia has made the phone number +57 301 115 4365<\/strong> available to assist citizens who need to get in touch with the diplomatic mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The email embadomcolombia@mirex.gob.do<\/a><\/strong> is also available, through which Dominicans can communicate with the Embassy and request guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
