Santo Domingo<\/strong>.- Dominican fashion is preparing for a new edition of the Trendy Fashion Week Elite, which will celebrate its sixth version on September 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the Faro a Col\u00f3n, with the participation of nearly 15 designers and models selected under international standards, as announced by the event’s director and producer, Robert Flores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flores explained that one of the main differentiating elements of this version will be the selection of the models, who must meet physical and professional requirements in line with the demands of the major fashion weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Models must meet a strictly international standard,” he noted, explaining that the requirements include a minimum height of 5’9″ to 5’10”, while men will have a “super skinny” physical profile, following international trends.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The producer assured that the goal is to present a proposal that combines design, production, and fashion trends, with a staging capable of projecting the country toward other markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Columbus Lighthouse<\/strong>, protagonist of the runway<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the main attractions of this edition will once again be the chosen venue: the Columbus Lighthouse, a monument that Flores considers one of the most impressive locations to host a fashion event in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPresenting a high-end fashion show at the Columbus Lighthouse is like presenting a show in Milan,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Flores maintained that Dominicans should value this monument as an architectural and cultural jewel, considering that its features offer a runway with a visual appeal capable of sparking the interest of international designers and professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As he explained, when images of the Columbus Lighthouse are shown to foreign designers as a setting for their collections, the response is usually positive due to the visual impact it provides for photographs and audiovisual productions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost 15 designers on stage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sixth edition will feature the participation of nearly 15 designers, who will present their proposals during the event days, on a platform that seeks to combine national talent with a vision of fashion with international reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flores pointed out that the purpose is to \u201cmake fashion and set trends<\/strong>,\u201d betting on designers who set standards and on production that brings the Dominican public closer to the standards of major international platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program will also have a special closing with Men’s Supermodel World, which will bring together candidates from different countries<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
