The Dominican athlete won four gold medals in the track and field competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alonso won the 100 and 200 meters, in addition to being part of the teams that won gold in the mixed 4&#215;100 relay and the women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 relay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For her four gold medals, the athlete will receive <strong>RD$1.2 million<\/strong> in government incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another highlight was <strong>Paolo Pigozzi<\/strong>, in water skiing, who won two gold medals and one bronze. His results would represent <strong>RD$700,000<\/strong> in incentives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, tennis player <strong>Nick Hardt<\/strong>, winner of two gold medals, one in singles and another in the Nations Cup, will receive <strong>RD$600,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Incentives for team sports<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the case of team sports, the scheme establishes incentives of <strong>RD$3.2 million for gold, RD$2.8 million for silver, and RD$1.6 million for bronze<\/strong>, amounts that will be distributed among the members of each team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the disciplines included in this category are 5&#215;5 basketball, indoor volleyball, rugby, handball, and softball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Dominican teams that won medals and will receive incentives are <strong>men&#8217;s softball<\/strong>, with gold; <strong>women&#8217;s volleyball<\/strong>, with gold; <strong>men&#8217;s basketball<\/strong>, with silver; <strong>women&#8217;s basketball<\/strong>, with bronze; <strong>women&#8217;s handball<\/strong>, with silver; <strong>men&#8217;s handball<\/strong>, with bronze, and <strong>rugby<\/strong>, with bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brenda Castillo will receive additional incentives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The captain and libero of the women&#8217;s national volleyball team, <strong>Brenda Castillo<\/strong>, is also among the athletes who will receive the greatest benefits for their performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the incentive corresponding to the medal obtained by the team, Castillo was recognized during the tournament as <strong>best libero, best defender, and best receiver<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The director of Women&#8217;s National Teams, <strong>Crist\u00f3bal Marte<\/strong>, announced that he would contribute to the team members an amount equivalent to the incentive granted by the Ministry of Sports for the gold medal, in addition to awarding <strong>RD$250,000<\/strong> for each of the individual distinctions obtained by the players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coaches will also receive incentives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award scheme also includes the coaches of the medal-winning athletes.
