Syria\u2019s new authorities have requested that Russia hand them over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also sentenced to death was <strong>Atef Najib<\/strong>, Assad\u2019s maternal cousin and a former Syrian army brigadier general who oversaw security operations in Daraa.
