Feller Rate ratified the solvency rating of Motor Cr\u00e9dito, S.A. Banco de Ahorro y Cr\u00e9dito at \u201cA\u201d with a stable outlook, according to its July 2026 review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report, the evaluation is based on Motor Cr\u00e9dito’s leadership in its segment, an adequate capacity to generate results, and a capital backing consistent with its operations.<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n
As of June 2026, Motor Cr\u00e9dito ranked first among savings and credit banks in market share for total loans and used vehicle financing, with shares of 22.5% and 36%, respectively. This position reflects the entity’s specialization and its presence in the automotive financing market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report also highlighted the entity’s financial position. As of the end of June 2026, the result before taxes reached RD$379 million and the annualized return on average total assets stood at 4.2%, close to the 4.5% average of the savings and credit bank system. As of May, the regulatory solvency index was 17.6%, above the required minimum of 10%, while indebtedness remained stable at 3.3 times during the first semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Portfolio quality remained controlled. As of June 2026, the non-performing loan portfolio represented 1.4% and the provision coverage reached 1.6 times, indicators comparable to the averages of 1.6% and 1.7 times recorded by savings and credit banks. Feller Rate noted that these results are supported by the high proportion of real guarantees associated with the financed vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
