{"id":520982,"date":"2026-08-11T18:42:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T22:42:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.net\/en\/uncategorized\/icpa-trains-ceccom-agents-in-tools-for-the-fiscal-control-of-alcoholic-beverages-and-cigarettes\/"},"modified":"2026-08-11T18:42:23","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T22:42:23","slug":"icpa-trains-ceccom-agents-in-tools-for-the-fiscal-control-of-alcoholic-beverages-and-cigarettes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deultimominuto.com\/en\/uncategorized\/icpa-trains-ceccom-agents-in-tools-for-the-fiscal-control-of-alcoholic-beverages-and-cigarettes\/","title":{"rendered":"ICPA trains CECCOM agents in tools for the fiscal control of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Santo Domingo.- <\/strong>As part of the strategic actions to combat the illicit trade of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes, the Swiss multinational SICPA, Dominican Republic subsidiary, held the 5th edition of the workshop: \u201cSecurity and fiscal control mechanisms for alcoholic beverages and cigarettes,\u201d for members of the Specialized Corps for Fuel Control and Merchandise Trade (CECCOM).<br><br>This initiative takes on special relevance in a context where the Dominican Republic has reached four consecutive years without recording deaths related to the consumption of adulterated alcohol, a milestone achieved thanks to the joint work between Government institutions and companies like SICPA, with marked leadership in strengthening preventive actions against illicit activities such as adulteration, counterfeiting, and smuggling of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes.<br><br>This workshop has been held since 2022 and this fifth edition arrives with the purpose of training the new team of technicians, as well as personnel from the Operations and Intelligence areas of CECCOM, under the guidelines of the entity&#8217;s general director, Brigadier General Orlando Jerez Espaillat, ERD.<br><br>The training session was led by the Business Director of SICPA Dominicana, Jorge Esteva, who provided participants with knowledge and skills on the use of modern inspection tools and the \u201cRev\u00edsame\u201d mobile application, designed to quickly and accurately authenticate the fiscal control stamps placed on alcoholic beverages and cigarettes.<br><br>Likewise, during the instruction, the integration of visual, non-visual, and electronic security technologies and systems such as UV flashlights was addressed, resources that will allow agents to streamline the detection of illicit goods during their operations in the national territory.<br><br>Jorge Esteva highlighted SICPA&#8217;s commitment and leadership in strengthening effective actions against illicit trade, which not only protect State revenues but have proven to be vital for saving human lives from adulterated alcohol.<br><br>\u201cAt SICPA, we combine technology and continuous training to be a key ally in the eradication of illicit trade. This workshop together with CECCOM demonstrates how modern inspection tools and digital verification facilitate the work of agents in the immediate detection of counterfeit beverages and cigarettes, an initiative that contributes to the goal of strengthening actions against illicit trade to protect the consumer, reduce unfair competition, and avoid tax evasion,\u201d highlighted Jorge Esteva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the director of the CECCOM Technical School, military assimilated Reynaldo Cruz Camacho (ARD), thanked SICPA for its continuous support in promoting these training sessions, which strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of the officers, reaffirming the commitment to guarantee the prevention of criminal acts in the commercialization of highly regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About&nbsp;SICPA&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SICPA is the Swiss multinational that provides the technology for the traceability and fiscal control system of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes (Tr\u00e1fico) for the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII).
