Bogot\u00e1.- <\/strong>The Colombian series ‘Betty la Fea: The Story Continues’, produced by Prime Video, will premiere its third season, titled ‘Betty la Fea: Uglier Than Ever’, on August 28th with all the original cast members who will star in a new scandal at the fictional company Ecomoda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new season brings back, for the first time since the premiere of the original soap opera in 1999, the cast that starred in the series, led by Ana Mar\u00eda Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello, as well as other characters from Betty’s group of friends, known in the plot as ‘El Cuartel de las Feas’ (The Ugly Squad).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first season of this sequel, released in 2024, broke a global viewership record for a Latin American title in the history of Prime Video and became the most-watched series or film of all time on the platform in Colombia, according to figures reported by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New season of \u2018Betty la Fea\u2019<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In this new season, the plot picks up with Betty in Bogot\u00e1, where she attends the farewell of a former colleague and crosses paths again with Armando, her ex-partner and boss at Ecomoda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this stage of her life, Betty begins psychological therapy, moves into her own apartment for the first time, and faces a plagiarism scandal at the company, while torn between Armando and a former French suitor who returns to her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global success<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The board added that the new season honors that legacy and seeks to surprise both historic fans and new audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Guinness World Records, the original series ‘Yo Soy Betty, la Fea’ was broadcast in more than 180 countries, dubbed into 15 languages, and had up to 28 adaptations around the world, which earned it the record for the most successful telenovela in television history in 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
