Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> allegedly attempted to reach an agreement with the Public Ministry during the judicial process he is facing, as revealed by Deputy Prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso, who stated that the proposal was submitted in writing and subsequently rejected by the prosecuting body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his participation in the weekly lunch of the Corripio Communications Group<\/a>, <\/strong>Reynoso explained that he would not offer details about the content of the proposal due to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code regarding agreements that ultimately do not materialize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Public Prosecutor’s Office never offered that gentleman a deal; that gentleman did offer a deal to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and he did so in writing,\u201d the magistrate stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reynoso indicated that the Public Prosecutor’s Office decided not to accept the proposal presented by Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> and maintained that the institution will respect the procedural rules that prevent making public the details of a negotiation that did not materialize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public Ministry rejects accusations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The deputy prosecutor also responded to the questions raised by the defense of Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> regarding an alleged manipulation of the evidence that is part of the accusatory file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reynoso rejected those claims and asserted that the Public Prosecutor’s Office has a considerable amount of evidence. He even stated that the evidence collected would be sufficient to support several convictions against the former attorney general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official also maintained that the various appeals filed by Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> are part of a strategy to avoid facing the judicial process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJean Alain has tried to flee from the process,\u201d stated Reynoso when referring to the actions of the former attorney general regarding the case that the justice system keeps open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camacho defends the evidence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Director General of Prosecution of the Public Ministry, Wilson Camacho, also referred to the questions related to the digital evidence incorporated into the file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camacho explained that the hard drive presented in the proceedings contained compressed files. As he detailed, this method allows for reducing the space occupied by the files, so the volume of information increases when they are decompressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official denied that this situation constitutes an irregularity and defended the validity of the evidence presented against Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camacho maintained that the former attorney general must take on the judicial process and face the evidence that the Public Prosecutor’s Office has presented before the courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Wilson Camacho, the file related to Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> contains 34 lines of investigation<\/strong>, which, in his view, demonstrates the breadth of the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official also pointed out that during the preliminary hearing 29 people accepted the facts they were charged with<\/strong>, although the criminal responsibility of each defendant must be determined by the courts as the process progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statements from the Public Ministry representatives come as the case approaches a judicial decision that could mark a new stage for the file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Court to decide on the dismissal of the case<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Second Collegiate Court of the National District<\/strong> is scheduled to announce its decision next Monday, August 17, regarding the request for the dismissal of the judicial process involving Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> and the other defendants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
