New York.- <\/strong>The social network Instagram changed its name logo this Thursday after a decade, with a more simplified and italicized font to “refresh” its identity, according to its director, Adam Mosseri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe \u2018wordmark\u2019 (\u2018name logo\u2019) above the \u2018app\u2019 hasn\u2019t changed in ten years, so it was time to refresh it. Cleaner and more modern, with references to the original and to the simplicity and art that always made it Instagram,\u201d said Mosseri on his account on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reactions to Instagram’s change<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The executive did not make reference to the logo of the application<\/a> itself, the famous square with a camera lens on a purple and orange gradient background, which accompanied the previous graphic identity of its name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mosseri also shared the new logo of the name on the social network Threads, integrated into Instagram and also owned by the tech company Meta<\/a>, adding that he wanted to know the “hot takes” of the users, many of whom were mocking the typography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
