Monte Plata.-<\/strong> The Sup\u00e9rate Social Development Directorate held a meeting in Monte Plata to learn firsthand about the real impact of social programs and to listen to the community’s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this province, the Dominican government maintains a social protection scheme that benefits more than 44,000 vulnerable households. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general director of Sup\u00e9rate, Mayra Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, highlighted that in this province the institution protects 44,192<\/strong> families from the municipalities of Bayaguana, Monte Plata, Sabana Grande de Boy\u00e1, Yamas\u00e1, and Peralvillo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jim\u00e9nez detailed that 43,529 <\/strong>families<\/strong> <\/strong>receive<\/strong> the <\/strong>Alim\u00e9ntate<\/strong> <\/strong>subsidy<\/strong>, <\/strong>and of this amount 39,558 <\/strong>households<\/strong> also have Bono Gas<\/strong> and 13,713<\/strong> receive, in addition, the Bono Luz<\/strong>, meaning the three subsidies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a complementary manner, institutional support extends to <\/strong>education<\/strong> through the<\/strong> <\/strong>Aprende y Avanza<\/strong> <\/strong>incentives<\/strong>, which provide coverage to 6,425 <\/strong>households<\/strong> with girls, boys, and adolescents of school age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social protection in Monte Plata includes programs aimed at populations<\/strong> <\/strong>in<\/strong> <\/strong>conditions<\/strong> of greater <\/strong>vulnerability<\/strong> and <\/strong>dependency<\/strong>. In this area, Sup\u00e9rate, through the National Fund for <\/strong>Children<\/strong> and <\/strong>Adolescents<\/strong> with <\/strong>Disabilities<\/strong> currently benefits 210 <\/strong>families<\/strong>, as part of the actions aimed at guaranteeing comprehensive protection and focused care for this population. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this meeting, which had more than 500 people<\/strong>, the director of the Higuamo Regional, Alin Mercedes<\/strong>, expressed that this dialogue aims to strengthen the care<\/strong> and support<\/strong> received by the families benefiting from the programs developed by the institution in the territory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, the participating families valued the support they receive from the Dominican Government, through Sup\u00e9rate, while the institution’s teams offered guidance on the services and programs provided, and also took<\/strong> <\/strong>notes<\/strong> <\/strong>of the<\/strong> <\/strong>needs<\/strong> <\/strong>and<\/strong> <\/strong>suggestions<\/strong> <\/strong>of the<\/strong> <\/strong>families<\/strong>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These actions are part of the national <\/strong>socio-family <\/strong>support <\/strong>strategy <\/strong>promoted by Sup\u00e9rate, aimed at strengthening family capabilities, promoting social <\/strong>inclusion <\/strong>and contributing to overcoming <\/strong>poverty <\/strong>in Dominican households in situations of vulnerability<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
